Quran Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2ii- Verse-187  ( Allah Makes His Signs Evident to Mankind, that Possibly They Would be Pious.)

 

Quran V2:187 

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَىٰ نِسَائِكُمْ ۚ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ ۗ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ ۖ فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ ۚ وَلَا تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ ۗ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ [187]

[{ أُحلَّ لكم ليلة الصيام الرفث } بمعنى الإفضاء { إلى نسائكم } بالجماع، نزل نسخا لما كان في صدر الإسلام على تحريمه وتحريم الأكل والشرب بعد العشاء { هن لباس لكم وأنتم لباس لهن } كناية عن تعانقهما أو احتياج كل منهما إلى صاحبه { علم الله أنكم كنتم تختانون } تخونون { أنفسكم } بالجماع ليلة الصيام وقع ذلك لعمر وغيره واعتذروا إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { فتاب عليكم } قبل توبتكم { وعفا عنكم فالآن } إذ أحل لكم { باشروهن } جامعوهن { وابتغوا } اطلبوا { ما كتب الله لكم } أي أباحه من الجماع أو قدره من الولد { وكلوا واشربوا } الليل كله { حتى يتبيَّن } يظهر { لكم الخيط الأبيض من الخيط الأسود من الفجر } أي الصادق بيان للخيط الأبيض وبيان الأسود محذوف أي من الليل شبه ما يبدو من البياض وما يمتد معه من الغبش بخيطين أبيض وأسود في الامتداد 

{ ثم أتُّموا الصيام } من الفجر { إلى الليل } أي إلى دخوله بغروب الشمس { ولا تباشروهن } أي نساءكم { وأنتم عاكفون } مقيمون بنية الاعتكاف { في المساجد } متعلق بعاكفون نهيٌ لمن كان يخرج وهو معتكف فيجامع امرأته ويعود { تلك } الأحكام المذكورة { حدود الله } حدَّها لعباده ليقفوا عندها { فلا تقربوها } أبلغ من لا تعتدوها المعبر به في آية أخرى { كذلك } كما بيَّن لكم ما ذكر { يُبيِّن الله آياته للناس لعلهم يتقون } محارمه .]

[{It has been made permissible for you on the night of the fast to have sexual relations with your wives.} This was revealed abrogating what was prohibited in the early days of Islam, which included the prohibition of eating and drinking after the evening prayer.

 {They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them.} This is an allusion to their embrace or the mutual need of each for the other. {Allah knew that you were betraying yourselves} by having sexual relations on the night of the fast. This happened to Umar and others, and they apologized to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). 

{So He accepted your repentance} before your repentance {and pardoned you. So now} since it has been made permissible for you, {have relations with them} and seek {what Allah has ordained for you} meaning what He has permitted of sexual relations or what He has decreed of offspring. {And eat and drink} throughout the night

 {until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct from the black thread of night.} The true dawn is described as the white thread, and the description of the black thread is omitted, meaning from the night. The appearance of whiteness and the accompanying darkness are likened to two threads, one white and one black, in their extension.

 {Then complete the fast} from dawn {until night} that is, until it begins with the setting of the sun {and do not have sexual relations with them} that is, your wives {while you are in seclusion} staying with the intention of seclusion {in the mosques} related to seclusion is a prohibition for whoever goes out while in seclusion and has sexual relations with his wife and returns {These} the mentioned rulings

 {are the limits of Allah} He has set for His servants so that they may abide by them {so do not approach them} more emphatic than do not transgress them, which is expressed in another verse {Thus} as He has made clear to you what was mentioned {Allah makes clear His verses to the people that they may fear Him} His prohibitions.]

English Quran V2: 187

It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts). They are Libas [i.e. body cover, or screen, or Sakan, (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with her - as in Verse 7:189) Tafsir At-Tabari], for you and you are the same for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned to you (accepted your repentance) and forgave you. 

So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allah has ordained for you (offspring), and eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night), then complete your Saum (fast) till the nightfall. 

              And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I'tikaf (i.e. confining oneself in a mosque for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the mosques. These are the limits (set) by Allah, so approach them not. Thus does Allah make clear His Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things, Allah's set limits, orders, etc.) to mankind that they may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2).

French Quran V2: 187

On vous a permis, la nuit d'as-Siyam, d'avoir des rapports avec vos femmes; elles sont un vêtement pour vous et vous un vêtement pour elles. Allah sait que vous aviez clandestinement des rapports avec vos femmes. Il vous a pardonné et vous a graciés. Cohabitez donc avec elles, maintenant, et cherchez ce qu'Allah a prescrit en votre faveur;

 mangez et buvez jusqu'à ce que se distingue, pour vous, le fil blanc de l'aube du fil noir de la nuit . Puis accomplissez le jeûne jusqu'à la nuit. Mais ne cohabitez pas avec elles pendant que vous êtes en retraite rituelle dans les mosquées. Voilà les lois d'Allah : ne vous en approchez donc pas (pour les transgresser).C'est ainsi qu'Allah expose aux hommes Ses enseignements, afin qu'ils deviennent pieux.

German Quran V2: 187

Erlaubt ist euch, in der Nacht des Fastens mit euren Frauen Beischlaf auszuüben; sie sind euch ein Kleid, und ihr seid ihnen ein Kleid. Allah weiß, daß ihr euch selbst (immer wieder) betrogt, und da hat Er eure Reue angenommen und euch verziehen. 

Von jetzt an verkehrt mit ihnen und trachtet nach dem, was Allah für euch bestimmt hat, und eßt und trinkt, bis sich für euch der weiße vom schwarzen Faden der Morgendämmerung klar unterscheidet! Hierauf vollzieht das Fasten bis zur Nacht! Und verkehrt nicht mit ihnen, während ihr euch (zur Andacht) in die Gebetsstätten zurückgezogen habt! Dies sind Allahs Grenzen, so kommt ihnen nicht zu nahe! So macht Allah den Menschen Seine Zeichen klar, auf daß sie gottesfürchtig werden mögen.

Portuguese Quran V2: 187

Está-vos permitido, nas noites de jejum, acercar-vos de vossas mulheres, porque elas são vossas vestimentas e vós osois delas. Deus sabe o que vós fazíeis secretamente; porém, absorveu-vos e vos indultou. Acercai-vos agora delas edesfrutai do que Deus vos prescreveu.

 Comei e bebei até à alvorada, quando podereis distinguir o fio branco do fio negro.Retornai, então ao, jejum, até ao anoitecer, e não vos acerqueis delas enquanto estiverdes retraídos nas mesquitas. Tais sãoas normas de Deus; não as transgridais de modo algum. Assim Deus ilucida os Seus versículos aos humanos, a fim de que Otemam.

Spanish Quran V2: 187

Durante el mes del ayuno os es lícito por la noche uniros con vuestras mujeres: son vestidura para vosotros y vosotros lo sois para ellas. Alá sabe que os engañabais a vosotros mismos. Se ha vuelto a vosotros y os ha perdonado. Ahora, pues, yaced con ellas y buscad lo que Alá os ha prescrito. 

Comed y bebed hasta que, a la alborada, se distinga un hilo blanco de un hilo negro. Luego, observad un ayuno riguroso hasta la caída de la noche. Y no las toquéis mientras estéis de retiro en la mezquita. Éstas son las leyes de Alá, no os acerquéis a ellas. Así explica Alá Sus aleyas a los hombres. Quizás, así, Le teman.

Swedish Quran V2: 187

NATTETID under fastan är det tillåtet för er att komma nära era hustrur. De är en klädnad för er och ni är en klädnad för dem. Gud vet att ni här misstog er och Han vänder Sig till er i Sin barmhärtighet och befriar er från denna börda. Det är rätt om ni ligger hos dem och söker det som Gud har anvisat åt er; och ni får äta och dricka till dess den vita strimman av gryningsljuset kan urskiljas mot nattens mörker. Återuppta då fastan och håll den tills natten faller på. 

Men undvik beröring med dem då ni drar er tillbaka till moskén för meditation. Dessa är de gränser som Gud [har fastställt]; håll er på avstånd från dem. Så klargör Gud Sina budskap för människorna - kanske fruktar de Honom.

Bangla Quran V2: 187

রোযার রাতে তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস করা তোমাদের জন্য হালাল করা হয়েছে। তারা তোমাদের পরিচ্ছদ এবং তোমরা তাদের পরিচ্ছদ। আল্লাহ অবগত রয়েছেন যে, তোমরা আত্নপ্রতারণা করছিলে, সুতরাং তিনি তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং তোমাদের অব্যাহতি দিয়েছেন। অতঃপর তোমরা নিজেদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস কর এবং যা কিছু তোমাদের জন্য আল্লাহ দান করেছেন, তা আহরন কর।

 আর পানাহার কর যতক্ষণ না কাল রেখা থেকে ভোরের শুভ্র রেখা পরিষ্কার দেখা যায়। অতঃপর রোযা পূর্ণ কর রাত পর্যন্ত। আর যতক্ষণ তোমরা এতেকাফ অবস্থায় মসজিদে অবস্থান কর, ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত স্ত্রীদের সাথে মিশো না। এই হলো আল্লাহ কর্তৃক বেঁধে দেয়া সীমানা। অতএব, এর কাছেও যেও না। এমনিভাবে বর্ণনা করেন আল্লাহ নিজের আয়াত সমূহ মানুষের জন্য, যাতে তারা বাঁচতে পারে।

Russian Quran V2: 187

Вам дозволено вступать в близость с вашими женами в ночь поста. Ваши жены - одеяние для вас, а вы - одеяние для них. Аллах знает, что вы предаете самих себя (ослушаетесь Аллаха и вступаете в половую близость с женами по ночам во время поста в рамадане), и поэтому Он принял ваши покаяния и простил вас. 

               Отныне вступайте с ними в близость и стремитесь к тому, что предписал вам Аллах. Ешьте и пейте, пока вы не сможете отличить белую нитку рассвета от черной, а затем поститесь до ночи. Не вступайте с ними в близость, когда вы пребываете в мечетях. Таковы ограничения Аллаха. Не приближайтесь к ним. Так Аллах разъясняет Свои знамения людям, - быть может, они устрашатся.

Hindi Quran V2: 187

तुम्हारे लिए रोज़े की रात में अपनी स्त्रियों से सहवास ह़लाल (उचित) कर दिया गया है। वे तुम्हारा वस्त्र^[1] हैं तथा तुम उनका वस्त्र हो, अल्लाह को ज्ञान हो गया है कि तुम अपना उपभोग^[2] कर रहे थे। उसने तुम्हारी तौबा (क्षमा याचना) स्वीकार कर ली तथा तुम्हें क्षमा कर दिया।

 अब उनसे (रात्रि में) सहवास करो और अल्लाह के (अपने भाग्य में) लिखे की खोज करो और रात्रि में खाओ तथा पिओ, यहाँ तक की भोर की सफेद धारी रात की काली धारी से उजागर हो^[3] जाये, फिर रोज़े को रात्रि (सूर्यास्त) तक पूरा करो और उनसे सहवास न करो, जब मस्जिदों में ऐतिकाफ़ (एकान्तवास) में रहो। ये अल्लाह की सीमायें हैं, इनके समीप भी न जाओ। इसी प्रकार अल्लाह लोगों के लिए अपनी आयतों को उजागर करता है, ताकि वे (उनके उल्लंघन से) बचें।

Odia Quran V2: 187 

ଉପବାସ ରାତିରେ ତୁମର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କରିବା ତୁମ ପାଇଁ ଆଇନଗତ କରାଯାଇଛି। ସେମାନେ ତୁମର ପୋଷାକ, ଏବଂ ତୁମେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପୋଷାକ। ଆଲ୍ଲାହ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଯେ ତୁମେ ତୁମର ଇଚ୍ଛା ପୂରଣ କରୁଥିଲ। ସେ ତୁମର ଅନୁତାପ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ତୁମକୁ କ୍ଷମା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏବେ (ରାତିରେ) ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କର ଏବଂ ଆଲ୍ଲାହ ଯାହା (ତୁମର ଭାଗ୍ୟରେ) ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି ତାହା ଖୋଜ।

              ରାତିରେ ଖାଅ ଏବଂ ପିଅ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରାତିର କଳା ଧାରରୁ ପ୍ରଭାତର ଧଳା ଧାର ଦେଖାଯାଏ। ତା'ପରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟାସ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉପବାସ ପୂରଣ କର ଏବଂ ମସଜିଦଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଏକାନ୍ତରେ ରହି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କର ନାହିଁ। ଏଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଆଲ୍ଲାହଙ୍କ ସୀମା; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ। ଏହିପରି ଆଲ୍ଲାହ ତାଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଲଙ୍ଘନରୁ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇପାରିବେ।  (Translated from Hindi)

Chinese Quran V2: 187

齋戒的夜間，准你們和妻室交接。她們是你們的衣服，你們是她們的衣服。真主已知道你們自欺，而恕饒你們，赦免你們；現在，你們可以和她們交接，可以求真主為你們注定的（子女），可以吃，可以飲，至黎明時天邊的黑線和白線對你們截然劃分。

然後整日齋戒，至於夜間。你們在清真寺幽居的時候，不要和她們交接。這是真主的法度，你們不要臨近它。真主這樣為世人闡明他的跡象，以便他們敬畏。

Japanese Quran V2: 187

あなたがたは斎戒の夜，妻と交わることを許される。かの女らはあなたがたの衣であり，あなたがたはまたかの女らの衣である。アッラーはあなたがたが自ら欺いているのを知っておられ，不憫におもわれ，あなたがたを許された。だからかの女らと交わり，アッラーがあなたがたのため，定められたところに従え。

また自糸と黒糸の見分けられる黎明になるまで食べて飲め。その後は日暮れまで斎戒を全うしなさい。マスジドに御籠りしている間，かの女らに交わってはならない。これはアッラーの（定められた）掟だから，かの女に近付いてはならない。このようにアッラーは，人びとに印を説き明かされる。恐らくかれらは主を畏れるであろう。

Korean Quran V2: 187

단식날 밤 너회 아내에게 다가가는 것을 허락하노라 그녀들 은 너희들을 위한 의상이요 너희 들은 그녀들을 위한 의상이니라 하나님께서는 너회들이 은밀히 행 하는 것을 알고 계시나 너희들에 게 용서를 베풀고 은혜를 베푸셨 노라 그러나 지금은 그녀들과 잠자리를 같이 하되 하나님이 명하신 것을 추구하고 하얀실이 검은실과 구별되는 아침 새벽까지 먹고 마시라 그런다음 밤이 을때까지 단식 을 지키고 그녀들과 잠자리를 같 이 하지 말것이며 사원에서 경건 한 신앙 생활을 할 것이라 이것이 하나님께서 제한한 것이니 가까이 하지 말라 이렇듯 하나님은 인간 들이 자제함을 배을 수 있도록 계 시 하였노라
