Quran V2:57

وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ ۖ كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ.

[{ وظلَّلنا عليكم الغمام } سترناكم بالسحاب الرقيق من حر الشمس في التيه { وأنزلنا عليكم } فيه { المن والسلوى } هما الترنجبين والطير السماني بتخفيف الميم والقصر، وقلنا : { كلوا من طيبات ما رزقناكم } ولا تدَّخروا، فكفروا النعمة وادخروا فقطع عنهم { وما ظلمونا } بذلك { ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون } لأن وباله عليهم .]

[{And We shaded you with clouds} We covered you with thin clouds from the heat of the sun in the wilderness {And We sent down to you} therein {manna and quails} which are the manna and quails with the lightening of the letter mim and the shortening, and We said: {Eat of the good things We have provided for you} and do not hoard, but they were ungrateful for the blessing and hoarded, so it was cut off from them {And they did not wrong Us} by that {but they were wronging themselves} because its consequences were upon them.]

And We shaded you with clouds and sent down on you Al-Manna and the quails, (saying): "Eat of the good lawful things We have provided for you," (but they rebelled). And they did not wrong Us but they wronged themselves.

French Quran V2:57

Et Nous vous couvrîmes de l'ombre d'un nuage, et fîmes descendre sur vous la manne et les cailles : - "Mangez des délices que Nous vous avons attribués ! " - Ce n'est pas à Nous qu'ils firent du tort, mais ils se firent tort à eux-mêmes.

E vos agraciamos, com as sombras das nuvens e vos enviamos o maná e as codornizes, dizendo-vos: Comei de todas ascoisas boas com que vos agraciamos! (Porém, o desagradeceram) e, com isso, não Nos prejudicaram, mas prejudicaram a simesmos.

Hicimos que se os nublara y que descendieran sobre vosotros el maná y las codornices: «¡Comed de las cosas buenas de que os hemos proveído!» No fueron injustos con Nosotros, sino que lo fueron consigo mismos.

আর আমি তোমাদের উপর ছায়া দান করেছি মেঘমালার দ্বারা এবং তোমাদের জন্য খাবার পাঠিয়েছি ’মান্না’ ও সালওয়া’। সেসব পবিত্র বস্তু তোমরা ভক্ষন কর, যা আমি তোমাদেরকে দান করেছি। বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার কোন ক্ষতি করতে পারেনি, বরং নিজেদেরই ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে।

और हमने तुमपर बादलों की छाँव (अधिकांश भाष्यकारों ने इसे “तीह” के क्षेत्र से संबंधित माना है।- तफ़्सीरे क़ुर्तुबी) की तथा तुमपर ‘मन्न’ (भाष्यकारों ने लिखा है कि “मन्न” एक प्रकार का अति मीठा स्वादिष्ट गोंद था, जो ओस के समान रात्रि के समय आकाश से गिरता था। तथा “सलवा” एक प्रकार के पक्षी थे, जो संध्या के समय सेना के पास हज़ारों की संख्या में एकत्र हो जाते, जिन्हें बनी इस्राईल पकड़ कर खाते थे।) और ‘सलवा’ उतारा, तो उन स्वच्छ चीज़ों में से, जो हमने तुम्हें प्रदान की हैं, खाओ और उन्होंने हमपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, परन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर ही अत्याचार कर रहे थे।
