Quran V4:9

وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا[9]

{ ولْيخش } أي ليخف على اليتامى { الذين لو تركوا } أي قاربوا أن يتركوا { من خلفهم } أي بعد موتهم { ذرية ضعافا } أولاد صغارا { خافوا عليهم } الضياع { فليتقوا الله } في أمر اليتامى وليأتوا إليهم ما يحبون أن يفعل بذريتهم من بعدهم { ولْيقولوا } للميت { قولا سديدا } صوابا بأن يأمروه أن يتصدق بدون ثلثه ويدع الباقي لورثته ولا يتركهم عالة .

{And let them fear} that is, let them be kind to the orphans {who, if they left behind} that is, were close to leaving behind {weak offspring} that is, after their death {and fear for them} the loss of children {so let them fear Allah} in the matter of the orphans and let them do for them what they would like to be done for their offspring after them {and let them say} to the deceased {a sound word} that is correct, by ordering him to give charity with less than a third of his estate and leave the rest for his heirs and not leave them dependent.++

English Quran V4:9

And let those (executors and guardians) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own, if they had left weak offspring behind. So let them fear Allah and speak right words.

और उन लोगों को डरना (और ख़्याल करना चाहिये) कि अगर वह लोग ख़ुद अपने बाद (नन्हे नन्हे) नातवाँ बच्चे छोड़ जाते तो उन पर (किस क़दर) तरस आता बस उनको (ग़रीब बच्चों पर सख़्ती करने में) ख़ुदा से डरना चाहिये और उनसे सीधी तरह बात करना चाहिए (9)
